In the new chapter this week, Magnus and Chad form a tentative bond through music and shared grief. But when a first kiss reveals Magnus is a trans man, Chad reacts with panic and attempts violence — stopped instantly by the ship’s monitoring orbs, which speak aloud for the first time: “Violence will not be tolerated.”
Chad is confined, and that night Magnus wakes to discover the alien caretakers have altered his body without consent. Even if the result aligns with his desires, the violation is undeniable.
Two weeks after this violation, Lisette coaxes Magnus back to music using humor and shared experiences, while Maureen confronts Chad about his closeted sexuality and the consequences of his internalized hatred.
