There are always stories
And now I’m expected to tell a story about myself.
Fine. I’m a Two Spirit First Nations writer and creative*. I’ve ADHD which is managed or masked. I’ve made some mistakes in my life, but I work to fix them, to learn.
I’m going to tell stories. Some you may like, some you may not. I won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I’m doing this because right now it’s the only think I can do in a dark time. Stories live and give hope when the worst of humanity seek death and despair.
Generally, I can say I’m an anti-Nihilist. What that means is I accept a philosophy where chances are pretty damn good that nothing we do in this vast and huge universe matters; however, if that’s the case all that matters is what we do. I accept reality as it is, and I aim to not cling to pain, to endure the bad, to enjoy the good and not expect happiness. I try to be nice to my fellow human to get those warm fuzzies not as a reward, but because it’s the right thing to do.
If you like what you see…great. Tell other friends who may like my views. Follow me. Hell, if you’re feeling really generous, tip me on my Ko-Fi page.
*In Settler terms, I have a status card, I’m member of the Michel Band, I’m attracted to men, but as a demisexual (subset of Asexual) I need to form an emotional bond before sex.
